Cervical Health Awareness Month serves as reminder for women to talk to their doctors about risks of cancer

&#8220;Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. Alumni Scholarship Competition,&#8221; Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. will award competitive scholarships to graduating seniors who were former Head Start students.To date, the Luzerne County Head Start Alumni Scholarship Program has awarded 214 scholarships totaling $185,500. All of the scholarships are provided through private sponsors including local business and other community organizations.Applications can be found on the website: http://lchs.hsweb.org/. The deadline for applying is 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29.
