SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — The deaths of four people in a northeastern Pennsylvania crash that authorities say apparently stemmed from a wrong-way driver have been declared homicides. The Lackawanna County coroner's office said Monday that all of the victims of the Interstate 81 crash early Saturday in South Abington Township died of multiple traumatic injuries. Coroner Timothy Rowland said all four deaths had been ruled homicides. He said none of the victims were drivers of either vehicle. State police said one of the cars was apparently heading north in the southbound lanes when it collided with a southbound car, killing four Scranton residents. the victims were identified as 68-year-old Vinodchandra Patel, 30-year-old Komal Vyas, 29-year-old Shilpa Patel, and 32-year-old Ashley Wheeler
