Updated: Police arrest Joe Lombardo on charges from Pittston robberies

<p>WASHINGTON &#8212; Berks Packing Company has recalled about 1,320 pounds of beef products, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Services.</p><p>The recall was issued due to product mislabeling of a &#8220;one-pound shrink wrapped Berks Heat &amp; Serve Knockwurst&#8221; that may contain pork or erythorbate, a sodium additive related to vitamin C.</p><p>The product was produced Nov. 12, 2015, with a &#8220;sell by&#8221; date of March 11, 2016, stamped on the packing.</p><p>Berks products included in the recall have the establishment number &#8220;EST. 8782&#8221; inside the USDA mark of inspections, according to the news release.</p><p>The product was distributed to stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York, West Virginia and Virginia.</p><p>The USDA received no confirmed reports of health issues due to consumption of the product. But consumers are urged not to eat the product and are advised to discard the product or return the product to the store where it was purchased.</p><p>The mislabeling was discovered by company personnel.</p><p>Berks Quality Control Manager Lynn Farrell is available for consumer questions at 610-376-7291</p><style>
