UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania jury says they'll keep trying to reach a verdict in a wrongful amputation malpractice lawsuit, despite telling a judge they're deadlocked. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (http://bit.ly/1TpDxJ7 ) reports the Fayette County jury told a judge they were hopelessly deadlocked Wednesday night after nearly six hours of deliberations. They're trying against Thursday to decide a lawsuit filed by 26-year-old Shanna Hiles against a Uniontown Hospital emergency doctor. Hiles claims the doctor overlooked an acute condition that led to her legs being amputated because she was drunk when she arrived at the hospital in May 2009. Hiles passed out with her legs tucked under her body for as long as 12 hours after celebrating her 20th birthday.
