Some medical professionals swear that everyone receives the same quality of care no matter what type insurance they carry. Well, I am calling them on their bs.I have called almost every dentist in Wilkes-Barre, and one &#8211; one &#8211; accepts medical assistance. The kicker, there is a mile-long waiting list!The problem in my case is that I have an abscessed tooth, which, I have been told, is dangerous. If left uncared for, the infection can spread to the brain and kill a person. But because I don&#8217;t carry some top-of-the-line insurance, I have to suffer the pain for some hellacious length of time or not get medical attention at all.I cannot help that I am on disability and have only Medicare and medical assistance. I cannot afford Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna or another kind of great insurance. That doesn&#8217;t mean I don&#8217;t need the same care that someone who has those insurances has.I am in severe pain, daily, just with my disability. Now, I have to suffer even more pain in my mouth every day. Why?Did you all forget why you went to med school? I guess it really is just a money game.Try a new profession, because caring for people is not what you really want. It&#8217;s just money. Nothing more.Christine FringerWilkes-Barre
