WILKES-BARRE - Wilkes Barre&#8217;s Fine Arts Fiesta, now celebrating its 61st year, is calling for entries for its annual student poster contest. The selected student artwork will be featured on the Fiesta&#8217;s promotional poster as well as the 2016 program book. The theme of this year&#8217;s Fiesta is &#8220;Spring into Fiesta.&#8221;All students who are currently enrolled in any elementary, middle/junior or high school in Luzerne County are eligible (grades 3 through 12). To qualify, an entry must be the original work of the student. The entry must be submitted on firm white paper or a poster/media material of regulation size - 12&#8221; x 18.&#8221; Color presentations with a three color maximum are preferred but not required. The entries may be in marker, paint or ink. No photographic materials may be used, and the entry may not be completed in pencil, pastel or crayon. Submissions are restricted to artwork alone, and should not include words, slogans or lettering.Deadline for submission is Tuesday, March 8, and all submissions must be delivered to the Osterhout Library, S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre.
