Advocate for the blind Donna Hill of Meshoppen asks people to sign petition regarding internet access

<p>HUGHESTOWN &#8212; The Hughestown Police Department will be hosting a Glock Handgun Armorer Certification Course on March 17.</p><p>The training will be conducted at the Hughestown Borough Fire Hall at 30 Center Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tuition for the course is $250, and lunch will be provided.</p><p>Taught by the Glock Training Division, the course will certify attendees as armorers for Glock handguns. Course topics will include detail stripping, maintenance of weapon components, fire control parts maintenance, troubleshooting and other aspects of the firearms.</p><p>The class is open to active or retired law enforcement officers and military personnel, professional security, law enforcement firearms distributors, federal firearms license holders, government contractors, range program employees and Glock stocking dealer employees and shooting sport foundation members.</p><p>Those attending are asked to bring their own materials to take notes, safety glasses and a small flashlight.</p><p>Those interesting in registering for the course are asked to register at <a href="https://www.glocktraining.com/RegWizard.aspx?classid=104247" target="_blank">this link</a>.</p><p>Anyone with questions is asked to contact Hughestown Police Chief Jeff Balut at 570-654-2082 or at hughestownpd01@gmail.com</p><style>
