<p>Grab a raincoat on the way out the door, because it&#8217;s shaping up to be a damp day in the Wyoming Valley.</p><p>According to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service, a most low pressure system is expected to produced up to an inch of rain today, and higher elevations could get slightly more. There will be a small chance for minor flooding in poor drainage areas, as well as quick rises in small streams and creeks.</p><p>Areas with wet ground due to recently melted snow will be more vulnerable to flooding issues.</p><p>No watches or warnings have been issued for Luzerne County as of 8 a.m.</p><p><strong>The forecast</strong></p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 43 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.</p><p>Rain is expected today, with a 100 percent chance predicted with up to an inch of rain possible. Today&#8217;s high will be near 55.</p><p>Tonight will also bring a 30 percent chance of showers mainly before 9 p.m., with up to a quarter of an inch of rain possible. Otherwise, cloudy skies will gradually become partly cloudy. Tonight&#8217;s low will be around 40.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, with a high near 33. Partly cloudy skies will carry over into Thursday night, with a low around 27.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 37.
