Light agenda, heavy public comment at Nanticoke City Council meeting

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Police say what was initially a littering violation on Wednesday turned into two Edwardsville men facing drug charges.</p><p>Police said the incident happened at Coal and Meade streets at 4 p.m. and involved Edwin Lewis, 54, and Michael Moore, 30, both of Edwardsville. Police determined that one of the men was wanted and a subsequent search resulted in police allegedly finding three bricks of heroin.</p><p>The police report did not specify which man was wanted by police or who was allegedly in possession of the heroin.</p><p>Court documents indicate that Lewis is charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of an instrument of crime with intent and false identification to law enforcement.</p><p>A court docket for Moore was not immediately available.</p><p>Lewis was arraigned on his charges before Magisterial District Judge Thomas Malloy on Wednesday, and is scheduled to appear before Malloy for a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. on Feb. 11.</p><style>
