CINCINNATI (AP) — A university has hired an outside consultant for nearly $400,000 to review its police department for reforms in the aftermath of an officer's fatal shooting of a black man after a traffic stop near campus. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (http://cin.ci/1miJVo5 ) that the University of Cincinnati is hiring Exiger to conduct a review of the police department. The New York City-based consulting firm plans to deploy a 12-member team of policing experts to assess policies, procedures and training practices. The review comes after Samuel DuBose was fatally shot six months ago by an officer who pulled him over for lacking a front license plate.
