The Northern Tier Symphony Orchestra will begin rehearsals for its spring concerts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Tunkhannock Area Middle School auditorium.Musicians should call 570-289-1090 to discuss openings. There are openings for string player chairs in all sections, wind and brass players should call to see. All interested players should inquire.There will be three concerts this season. The first being at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, at Tunkhannock Area Middle School; the second at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 29, at Athens High School; and at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at Abington Heights High School.The featured pieces for the spring season include the chorale from the Easter Cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach; the Russian Easter Festival Overture by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov; Siegfried&#8217;s Journey to the Rhine by Richard Wagner; plus some shorter pieces.For more information contact northerntiersymphony@yahoo.com, or call 570- 289-1090.
