PITTSBURGH (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been ordered to stand trial on charges that he shot and killed a man after trying to rob and then wounding another man last fall. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (http://bit.ly/20WeteZ ) reports that 20-year-old Lucas Guggenheimer of Carnegie was held for trial on homicide and firearms charges Wednesday in Allegheny County in the Oct. 11 death of 28-year-old Justin Granda. Police allege that the victim fled an earlier robbery after Guggenheimer shot someone in the leg, and Granda was killed the next day by the defendant. Defense attorney Ralph Karsh argued for dismissal of an attempted homicide count in the earlier altercation, maintaining that the gun went off in a struggle.
