Letter to the Editor: Chelsea Clinton’s visit to Luzerne County incomplete without a few bumps in road

<p>WILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; Police arrested Jerimiah Smith, 18, of Philadelphia; Matthew Karpinski, 37, of Dallas; and, Joseph Lukas, 38, of Plymouth, on Wednesday around 5:41 p.m. on various drug related charges.</p><p>According to police, officers from the Department&#8217;s Special Investigations Unit observed a drug transaction on Schechter Drive.</p><p>Karpinski and Lukas proceeded to leave a parking lot and were subsequently stopped by police on Blackman Street near the Pet Wonderland store. They were found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine.</p><p>Police subsequently took Smith into custody for having sold the drugs. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and was detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for pending arraignment.</p><p>Karpinski and Lukas will be charged with possession of a controlled substance at a later date.</p><p>The arresting officers were Patrolmen Robert Capparell, Jude Allen, and Brian Bouton.</p><style>
