Mom who did nothing as girl was beaten to death gets prison

FRANKLIN PARK, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania substitute middle school teacher has been charged with posing as a woman online to get an underage girl to send him nude photos. Twenty-six-year-old Jonathan Brecht (brehkt), of Franklin Park, is charged with one count of possessing child pornography. He's a seventh-grade math teacher in the Seneca Valley School District. Officials there didn't immediately comment after his arrest was reported Friday. Police say Brecht acknowledged posing as a woman on the dating app Skout and suggested having sex with the girl. Police say Brecht told them he's never touched a child, has no desire to do that and was willing to take a lie detector test to that effect. Defense attorney David Shrager says Brecht has no criminal history and is a "respected member of the community."
