Letter to the Editor: Insist that Wilkes-Barre’s new high school be built on site other than Coughlin

When the arena in Wilkes-Barre Township first opened, we had the likes of Neil Diamond and Elton John. Also, parking at that time was $3.Whatever happened to the first-class entertainment being brought to this venue?Right now, it looks like it is only an ice rink for the hockey team. I am not saying that this is not a good place for hockey games. What I am asking is, what happened to the promises of having some type of entertainment for the family at least once a month? I think the people of the area deserve some type of response to this very important question.In my eyes, the arena should be showcasing something for everyone every weekend.Also, I am finding discrimination toward our senior citizens. How can they get good tickets to first-rate entertainment, since they are not able to stay outside all night waiting for the box office to open?Another thing that needs to be addressed is the $10 parking fee. The $3 fee was a reasonable amount for everyone. Maybe a new manager is needed.I would love to hear what former state Rep.
