In 1933 Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany. Historically Germany was a Christian nation. From 1933 to 1945, under Hitler&#8217;s leadership, Nazi Germany rejected its Christian heritage.Germany was a highly cultured, educated society with advanced technology. Yet the citizens allowed themselves to be seduced by Nazi ideology.A critically important truth reveals what happened during the Third Reich. &#8220;Just as nature abhors a vacuum, a culture which drives every vestige of God from the marketplace of ideas inevitably finds it has sown seeds that it will reap in the whirlwind,&#8221; writes Frank Wright, formerly of the National Religious Broadcasters. Hitler and his henchmen replaced God with Nazi ideology.Ideologies such as Nazism, Marxism and secularism are always in conflict with Christianity. Their goal is to eliminate God from all aspects of life. Ironically, the general public is informed that these changes are what is best for everyone. German people paid a heavy price for not condemning Hitler with one unified and courageous voice. World War II and the Holocaust are the legacies of a nation refusing to stand against a godless ideology.America is not Nazi Germany, but the American government is eradicating our Christian principles. Historically every nation has been confronted with this question: &#8220;Should your allegiance be to God or to government?&#8221; Civilizations that choose governments that suppress Christianity have all failed. Many of the same values that destroyed these nations are being taught in many of our institutions of learning today. America is being betrayed by our government. The president, Congress and the Supreme Court should be guarding our liberties; instead they are bowing to cultural currents that will eventually destroy the United States.American Christians must not allow Jesus Christ to be combined into a political or ideological agenda. Christ must always stand alone and not be worshipped alongside world leaders, but as the sovereign authority above them as the &#8220;king of kings.&#8221;In order to save America from destroying itself from within, we must give our allegiance to Jesus Christ and not continue to give it to the secular values currently instituted.William SarnakHarding
