Misericordia professors helping picky eaters expand their palettes with Food Exploration Discovery Program

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Eighties rock icon Pat Benatar and her husband, Neil Giraldo, will play the F.M. Kirby Center on May 20 at 8 p.m. for &#8220;a very intimate acoustic evening&#8221; on May 20, at 8 p.m.</p><p>Tickets go on sale Friday and will be available through the Kirby Center box office, online at www.kirbycenter.org and charge by phone at (570) 826-1100. Tickets prices are: $45, $59 and $69, plus fees. There will be a special Kirby Member pre-sale beginning Thursday at 10 a.m.</p><p>A four-time Grammy winner, Benatar is a classically trained mezzo-soprano. During the 1980s, she had two RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums, five RIAA-certified platinum albums, three RIAA-certified gold albums and 19 Top 40 singles, including the Top 10 hits, &#8220;Hit Me With Your Best Shot,&#8221; &#8220;Love Is a Battlefield,&#8221; &#8220;We Belong&#8221; and &#8220;Invincible.&#8221;</p><p>Other hits include &#8220;Heartbreaker,&#8221; &#8220;Shadows of the Night,&#8221; &#8220;We Live for Love,&#8221; &#8220;Treat Me Right&#8221; and many more.</p><p>Benatar is widely considered as one of the leading female rock vocalists of the 1980s &#8212; a feat marked by her unprecedented winning of four consecutive Grammy Awards between 1980 and 1983, as well as three American Music Awards &#8212; but Benatar and husband Giraldo remain a rock and roll powerhouse today, selling out concerts and still wowing audiences</p><style>
