Police: About $2k in jeans stolen from Philadelphia store

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say shots were fired into the home of a Philadelphia public housing authority official. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (http://bit.ly/1mGVsgW ) that Philadelphia police are looking for the gunman who they say fired into the home of Kelvin Jeremiah around 11:30 a.m. Monday. Jeremiah is the executive director of the Philadelphia Housing Authority. Authorities say two bullet holes were found in a side window. Corresponding holes were also found in an inside wall. Police say eight shell casings were discovered on the ground outside. A burglary alarm at the home appears to have been triggered at around 3 a.m. Police say no one was hurt in the incidents. Police revealed few details about the shooting. They did not release information on potential suspects.
