HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania's Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate began a 90-minute debate by expressing support for legislation that would protect women against wage discrimination and pledging to ensure that any judicial nominees they recommended to the president would understand the importance of abortion rights and other bedrock liberal viewpoints. The Friday evening debate between John Fetterman, Katie McGinty and Joe Sestak comes two months before Democrats pick a challenger to Republican incumbent Pat Toomey in the fall election. They spoke in front of a crowd of a couple hundred liberal activists. Fetterman made a point of highlighting his support for a $15 minimum wage, and called it a floor, not a ceiling. McGinty also says she supports a $15 minimum, while Sestak has said he supports setting a minimum wage at just above $10.
