PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. (AP) — Police are searching for at least one person who remains missing after a small plane crashed in the water off Long Island. Authorities say the plane went down shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday. They say the aircraft crashed into Port Jefferson Harbor in Suffolk County, about 60 miles east of New York City. Suffolk County police say two people were rescued after the crash and a third person also has been accounted for. Police were still looking for one more person. Police had no further details early Sunday morning. A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
