<p>Rev. Ralph Christianson, a resident of Bear Creek in Luzerne County, was lauded at a retirement celebration held in his honor from the First Universalist Church of Brooklyn, Pennsylvania. He was recognized with resolutions from the House and Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Susquehanna County, Brooklyn Twp., and the trustees of the Pennsylvania Universalist Convention. He is an icon and legend in this county, noted for his willingness to minister with anyone and his willingness to visit the sick and homebound. In his 32 years of service to the First Universalist Church of Brooklyn and Susquehanna county he commuted over 1.2 million miles to and from his home in Bear Creek.</p><style>
