Official: Dog found dead in suitcase likely put inside alive

NORTH BRADDOCK, Pa. (AP) — A medical examiner has concluded that an elderly woman whose body was found tied up with duct tape in her looted western Pennsylvania home died of a heart attack. The Allegheny County medical examiner ruled the death of 92-year-old Amelia Roman of North Braddock a homicide, saying she suffered a sudden cardiac death due to heart disease and physical restraint. Roman's body was found Monday afternoon in her North Braddock home after a neighbor went in following a call from the victim's son who said he couldn't reach her. Police said a back window had been broken and the home had been looted.
