General Federated Women’s Club initiates new members with candlelight ceremony

KINGSTON &#8211; The Luzerne Intermediate Unit #18 is organizing Looking Forward, a free all-day career and academic planning event for students and their parents to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus in Lehman.This event, being offered in partnership with WVIA Public Media and Eyewitness News is open to all northeastern Pennsylvania students grades 8-12 and their parents.Students will attend concurrently running workshop sessions covering medicine, communication and media, education, culinary arts, engineering, performing arts, business, health sciences, finance, law, architecture, two-year-programs and much more.Parents can attend sessions on college financial aid and admissions, study abroad, regional high-demand jobs, the college experience and SAT/ACT.Information booths will also be on-site for students and parents to interact with local colleges, universities and other members of our educational communities.To register and for more details on the event visit http://www.liu18.org/index.php/programs/lookingforward.
