King’s debuts first sanctioned track and field program

<p>The Wyoming Seminary Mock Trial team has competed in the 2016 Region 5, District 2 High School Mock Trial Competition in the Luzerne County Courthouse in Wilkes-Barre, taking first place. Four team members that received the Best Witness Awards are junior Paige Allen of Mountain Top and senior Lina Tori Jan of Kabul, Afghanistan, while recipients of the Best Advocate (Attorney) Awards are junior Emily Laurore of Shavertown and senior Samarth Desai of Shavertown. Allen and Laurore each received two awards. In March the team will continue on to regional competition in Lehigh County. Members of the team standing from left, are: junior Cobie Wise, Baldivis, Australia; junior Avery Conyngham, Shavertown; Laurore, senior and co-captain Sara Edgar, Coopersburg; the Hon. Jennifer Rogers, presiding judge, Luzerne County; team co-captain Desai, Jan, senior Stefan Olsen, Kingston, and Allen.</p><style>
