House approves the Eric Williams Correctional Officer Protection Act

The Wilkes University Polish Room will hold its first Kosciusko Scholarship Dinner-Dance at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, at A Touch of Class on George Avenue in the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre.Donations to the scholarship fund enables the Polish Room Committee to help a Wilkes University qualifying student. Monetary gifts can be made through Bernadine Tarasek, chairperson. You can contact her at 570-824-8323. Mary Fran Buczynski is co-chairperson.Others on the committee are Helen Grebski, table decorations; Joyce Latoski, publicity; Audrey Brozena, programs; Antoinette Luce and Antoinette Szczecinski, reservations.The meal will be served family style. The George Tarasek Orchestra will provide the music for dancing. Reservations for this Scholarship Dinner Dance can be made by calling Antoinette at 570-472-3491.This event takes the place of the Kosciusko Ball held annually in January.
