Cruz calls Super Tuesday 'most important day' in 2016 race

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Five defendants have been ordered to stand trial in western Pennsylvania on homicide and other charges in the shooting death of a Pittsburgh teenager last fall. A judge on Friday held charges against four of the defendants in the September death of 15-year-old Curtis Pounds. A fifth defendant, a 17-year-old youth, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and testified against the others. Authorities allege that the defendants were driving and spotted Pounds walking home from a football game with a friend, and one fired a rifle more than two dozen times, killing Pounds and injuring the friend and a 43-year-old man. Defense attorneys on Friday questioned the credibility of the youth who testified and questioned a prosecutor's statement that he had not been offered any leniency.
