NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A suburban Philadelphia prosecutor is fighting attempts by Bill Cosby to delay a preliminary hearing in the entertainer's criminal sex-assault case. Cosby's lawyers want the probable-cause hearing delayed while they try to have the case thrown out. They want an appeals court to review their argument that Cosby had an agreement he wouldn't be prosecuted over the 2004 encounter with a Temple University employee. But Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele says in court papers Monday the appeal is not urgent and should be heard after the trial. The 78-year-old Cosby is accused of drugging and molesting a woman he had befriended. He says the encounter was consensual. The preliminary hearing is set for March 8. Cosby is also seeking to have Steele's office removed from the case.
