United Way implements long-term strategy to reduce childhood poverty, brighten area’s future

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Los Angeles based electronic musician Robert DeLong is bringing his dance-pop soundscapes to Northeastern Pennsylvania.</p><p>DeLong will perform at 8 p.m. April 2 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square, as part of the &#8220;Live from the Chandelier Lobby&#8221; concert series. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 4 and are available at the Kirby Center Box Office, by phone at 570-826-1100, and online at <a href="http://www.kirbycenter.org">www.kirbycenter.org</a>. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $18 the day of the show.</p><p>Kirby Members can take advantage of a special pre-sale beginning at 10 a.m. March 3. Members get the first opportunity to buy, and patrons can sign up to be Kirby Members by calling 570-823-4599, ext. 225.</p><p>DeLong has gained international notoriety with hit singles like 2013&#8217;s &#8220;Global Concepts&#8221; and 2015&#8217;s &#8220;Long Way Down&#8221; and &#8220;Don&#8217;t Wait Up.&#8221; A Kirby Center press release said his latest album, In The Cards, &#8220;boldly swirls electronic strains &#8212; techno, house, drum &amp; bass, electro, trip-hop &#8212; with rock composition and emotive soul.&#8221;</p><style>
