Pioneering Oklahoma energy CEO dies in fiery car crash

<p>SALEM TWP. &#8212; Materials found near the Moxie Power Plant being constructed in Salem Township warranted the attention of a bomb squad on Wednesday night, according to a plant official.</p><p>Ross D. Ain, Executive Vice President of New York based Caithness Energy, partnering with Moxie Energy LLC to build the plant, said upon visual inspection by his staff, some &#8220;old crumbling explosives&#8221; were found in a red barn across the street from the future site of the plant.</p><p>&#8220;The barn was purchased by the project, but not used for the project,&#8221; Ain said.</p><p>As soon as the suspicious material was found, Ain said, the Salem Township Police were notified.</p><p>According to Scranton police and PA Fire Wire/News official Facebook pages, the Scranton bomb squad was also on scene.</p><p>As of 10:30 p.m., Ain said police had informed plant staff that the potentially explosive material had been removed and that there was no continuing threat.</p><p>&#8220;We just wanted to err on the side of caution and make sure everyone was safe,&#8221; said Ain.</p><p>Ground was broken for the nearly $1 billion project in December of 2015, and is expected to produce power to about 900,000 home throughout the region.</p><p>Ain said the incident would not in any way interfere with the ongoing construction of the plant.</p><style>
