LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania police officer who arrested a man for being drunk and staggering has been charged with perjury because surveillance video doesn't appear to support that. A prosecutor announced Wednesday that Lancaster Officer Raymond Corll was charged with perjury, official oppression and other counts over the March 2014 arrest. The 16-year veteran has been suspended with pay since the state attorney general began investigating in November. Corll had arrested the man for public drunkenness, saying the suspect was staggering the entire width of a 15-foot sidewalk. But authorities say the video showed no such thing. The man sued Lancaster and settled for $150,000. Online court records don't list an attorney for the 54-year-old Corll. The Associated Press couldn't immediately locate a phone number for him.
