<p>LEHMAN TWP. &#8212; A Friday morning fire severely damaged the home of an elderly Lake Silkworth resident who has lived there for over 50 years.</p><p>As fire fighters worked to put out the fire, smoke billowed from a window on the second floor of the structure.</p><p>John Olszewski, 71, said the home, in the process of being remodeled, was a family home his mother had owned before him. He said it was not insured.</p><p>Olzewski&#8217;s cousin, Emory Wolf, said he stopped at the house, realized it was on fire and alerted Olszewski, who was in the basement at the time.</p><p>Over 12 emergency vehicles were on site, including those from Hunlock Creek, Sweet Valley and Lake Silkworth departments.</p><p>Fire personnel attributed the fire to a wood burning stove on the first floor which Olszewski said was his primary heating source.</p><p>Olszewski said he would stay with family members.</p><style>
