<p>SCRANTON &#8212; The inaugural Scranton Cultural Center Honors will take place at 6 p.m. March 31 at the Scranton Cultural Center, 420 North Washington St. Modeled after the Kennedy Center Honors, the event will recognize four organizations that are long-standing community partners of the SCC.</p><p>The inaugural honorees will be Allied Services, Broadway Theater League of Scranton/NAC Entertainment, Lackawanna County Department of Arts &amp; Culture and People&#8217;s Security Bank.</p><p>Cocktails and hors d&#8217;oeuvres will be served from 6 to 7 p.m., and the awards ceremony will follow immediately afterward. Past presidents of the SCC&#8217;s board of directors will present awards, and the ceremony will feature local performers with presentations specific to honorees.</p><p>In a press release from the SCC, executive director Deborah Moran said, &#8220;There are so many organizations that are vital to our sustainability, and this is our way to thank them.&#8221;</p><p>Tickets for the event cost $100 and include hors d&#8217;oeuvres, premium open bar, desserts and entertainment. Proceeds will benefit the Scranton Cultural Center. Tickets are available at the Fidelity Bank Box Office at the SCC, by calling 570-344-1111 and at applicable Ticketmaster outlets.
