Wolf opens door to ‘get some money’ to schools, universities

Departure of elephants will be bittersweet for handler as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus makes its way toward Wilkes-Barre

The Luzerne County Community College Wellness Committee, Student Government Association and HPE151 Class, are hosting a free health fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the College&#8217;s Campus Center cafeteria.The LCCC HPE151 class will demonstrate grip strength and perform body composition analysis. Nursing students will provide information and blood pressure screenings and the respiratory therapy department will demonstrate a pulse oximetry machine.Preventative measure demonstrations as well as a hypnotist, Chris Holbohm, who will hold a mini demonstration on stress relief, will be offered.Information on credit and non-credit programs and the KEYS program will be provided.Blue Cross of NEPA will provide general health information and Northeast Highway Safety Program will be offering information and demonstrations about impaired driving utilizing &#8220;booze googles.&#8221;Other vendors are Scranton Mixed Martial Arts, Luzerne County Recycling Coordinator , First Hospital, Pregnancy Resource Center, Thrive Wellness, Caring Communities, Med Express, the Army and more.The program is open to the public.
