BOSTON (AP) — The FBI is hoping for new leads in finding a Massachusetts man suspected of killing the police chief in a small Pennsylvania town more than 35 years ago. Donald Eugene Webb was on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list for more than 25 years. He is suspected of fatally shooting Saxonburg Police Chief Gregory Adams on Dec. 4, 1980. The FBI recently stepped up publicity around its $100,000 reward to try to focus attention on the case. If still alive, Webb would be 84 now. At the time of the shooting, Webb was a career criminal with mob ties who specialized in jewelry store robberies along the East Coast. He lived in New Bedford. Police say Adams was shot after he stopped Webb for running a stop sign.
