Pennsylvania turnpike's 65 mph speed limit bumped to 70 mph

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Democrat Joe Sestak is airing his first TV ads in support of his campaign for U.S. Senate as the airwaves get increasingly crowded with candidate ads. Sestak's campaign said the ad began running Wednesday in every Pennsylvania TV market, except Erie, at a cost of $260,000 for the week. Sestak is running in a four-way Democratic primary contest for the nomination to challenge Republican incumbent Pat Toomey in the November election. Toomey beat Sestak in 2010 by 2 percentage points. The 60-second ad leans heavily on Sestak's 31-year career in the Navy, where he rose to the rank of a three-star admiral. The ad also touches on his daughter's successful fight with brain cancer that he says brought him into contact with many families that didn't have health insurance.
