HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Montgomery County Commissioner Josh Shapiro has the most campaign cash of any candidate heading into the last seven weeks before primary voters will pick nominees to become Pennsylvania's next attorney general. Shapiro this week reported $1.8 million in the bank as of March 7. His competitors in the Democratic Party primary are Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli. Zappala reported $1 million in the bank while Morganelli reported a little over $600,000. On the Republican side, John Rafferty had almost $142,000 to spend while Joe Peters reported $3,000. Rafferty is a state senator from Montgomery County and Peters is a former prosecutor and ex-Scranton cop. The incumbent, Democrat Kathleen Kane, isn't running for another four-year term as the state's top law enforcement officer.
