Jury deliberating fate of customer in tattoo shop shooting

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Pennsylvania man must stand trial on charges he shot his uncle during a robbery, prompting a police standoff during which he was wounded by officers. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (http://bit.ly/1Za7GNs ) reports 48-year-old Billy Joe Richter, of Ronco, allegedly broke into his uncle's home and shot the man while trying to steal his weapons in May 2015.. Richter on Friday was ordered to trial at a preliminary hearing on charges including criminal homicide in the death of 68-year-old Harrison Shaffer, who called 911 before he died. Richter allegedly fired through a front door when police responded to the Forward Township home. Officers returned fire, wounding Richter in the chest.
