Berwick man to be charged with possession of weapons of mass destruction

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A city man was arrested at a judge&#8217;s office at about 10 a.m. on Thursday after city police officers detected the smell of marijuana emanating from his body, police said.</p><p>Police said while they were at Magisterial District Justice Tom Malloy&#8217;s office on South Sherman Street waiting for court proceedings to begin, they noticed Joel Contreras also was waiting in the lobby.</p><p>When they noticed the heavy smell of marijuana coming from his person, they approached him and advised him that he currently had active warrants out for his arrest, police said.</p><p>Police then took Contreras into custody.</p><style>
