ERIE, Pa. (AP) — A hearing is scheduled Monday to determine whether one of five suspects will be representing himself on charges in the slayings of two teenagers in northwestern Pennsylvania last summer. The Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/1RFmELL ) reports that 20-year-old Stephen Russell is the only defendant without a lawyer to represent him on the Erie County charges. Authorities say 16-year-olds Shakur Franklin and Elijah Jackson were killed and four other teens wounded July 24 following an all-star high school football game in Erie Russell and three other defendants — 18-year-old Jahaun Jones and 19-year-olds Keshawn McLaurin and Demond Mitchell — are charged in the drive-by slaying of Franklin.
