<p>KINGSTON &#8212; Police have charged a man in connection with a report of shots fired Sunday night inside a Pringle Street residence.</p><p>Mark Howard, 35, was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Paul Roberts Jr. on Monday for a single felony charge of possession of firearms prohibited.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint, officers responded at 11:13 p.m. on Sunday to the area of 115 Pringle St. for a report of multiple shots fired. Witnesses told police they heard approximately three shots come from 119 Pringle St.; witnesses from the neighboring double-block residence of 115-117 Pringle St. reported hearing a man scream &#8220;now shut the (expletive) up&#8221; before the residence became quiet.</p><p>Officers arriving at the scene saw two individuals on the porch; despite commands from police, the pair allegedly ran inside the home. Officers then took tactical positions around the house and yelled for residents to come out, but police said that several individuals seen looking out the windows refused to acknowledge the officers&#8217; orders.</p><p>Police said that approximately 10 minutes later, Crystal Neal &#8212; later identified as Howard&#8217;s fiance &#8212; came out the back door, followed by Howard. Police said &#8220;multiple other adults and multiple juveniles&#8221; exited the residence from the front door. Police also said that they found a spent 9mm cartridge casing lying on the back porch.</p><p>Once police were inside, they also removed two other people from an upstairs bedroom.</p><p>Police transported Howard, Neal and four others to police headquarters for further interviews. Police later executed a search warrant on the home, which resulted in the discovery of two semi-automatic pistols and ammunition in a second-floor bedroom, along with identification allegedly belonging to Howard.</p><p>During the interview with police, Neal allegedly told police that the guns were hers but also that she didn&#8217;t know if anyone fired them that night, saying she didn&#8217;t hear the shots.</p><p>Neal also allegedly told police that Howard typically cleans the guns after they shoot at a range.</p><p>Howard told police that he and Neal held a party at their residence and had approximately 15 people over. He also allegedly told police that he was unaware of a shooting and that he didn&#8217;t hear any shots.</p><p>Howard allegedly told officers that they would find his fingerprints on the firearms&#8217; bullets and that he moves the firearms to a room on the second floor when company comes over.</p><p>He allegedly also told police that gunpowder residue would be found on his hands if they were tested because he had gone shooting with a friend on Friday. He also told police that he previously was arrested for and pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possession of a gun in New York, which prevents him from legally possessing a firearm.</p><p>Police Chief Michael Krzywicki said that no other charges are currently pending from the incident. He added that another woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant.</p><p>Howard is next scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. on April 6 before Roberts. Roberts set Howard&#8217;s bail at $25,000 cash, which it appeared at the court proceedings that he planned to post.</p><style>
