Luzerne County Community College students have earned recognition for outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2015 semester.

<p>The family of Ava Kurilla, a 4 -1/2 year old girl who lost her battle with cancer this past summer, presents a check to Child Life who provides toys and other items to sick children at Geisinger Medical Center. Ava&#8217;s Tree recently came in third place at the Grotto Pizza Parade of Trees at Harvey&#8217;s Lake and the proceeds were given to Child Life to help continue this program.
