PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is ordering state gambling regulators to take another look at the ownership of a lucrative Philadelphia-area casino license it awarded in late 2014. The six justices ruled unanimously Tuesday in ordering the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to review whether the ownership group of the proposed Live! Hotel & Casino meets limitations in state law on casino ownership. It won a four-way competition for the last casino license in eastern Pennsylvania, and the fifth in the Philadelphia region. But the court is questioning the extent of the post-award involvement of London-based businessman Watche Manoukian, who owns the controlling stake in Parx Casino in nearby Bensalem. Part of the court's order is sealed, but it is ordering a review of whether Manoukian's financial commitments exceed a 33 percent interest in Live!
