<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police are investigating an elementary school student using counterfeit money.</p><p>Police received a report at 11 a.m. Tuesday that a 10-year-old girl used a counterfeit $20 bill in the student store at the Daniel J. Flood Elementary School on North Washington Street.</p><p>A lieutenant at police headquarters said the police report did not indicate if the child unknowingly came into possession of a counterfeit bill or if the student is suspected of creating a fake bill.</p><p>An investigation by the school district and a Wilkes-Barre police detective is ongoing, the lieutenant said.</p><p>School Principal Marlena Nockley did not immediately return a call seeking additional information.</p><style>
