Kanisha is the granddaughter of Robert and Linda VanGorder of Loyalville, Barbara Straley of Dallas and Robert and Lynn Cheshire of Statesville, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of the late Carl Straley and great-granddaughter of the late Charles Schade and the late Charlotte Calkins. Kanisha has a sister, Annalise, 16.</p><style>
