For good measure, she reached base four times herself, driving in four runs. Tiana Wren (two RBI) homered and Abbey Shorts doubled and had three RBI.Lexi Bruno struck out six for the Mohawks.Hanover Area 26, GAR 0The Hawkeyes scored 17 times in the third inning to end the game early as Mary-Kate Penczkowski didn&#8217;t allow a hit or a walk while striking out five.Michelle McNair (double, triple), Haylee Bobos (double, home run) and Penczkowski all went 3 for 3 at the plate. Shannon Keating also homered while Karly Bennett had two doubles.Hazleton Area 12, Coughlin 2The Cougars put the game out of reach by scoring four runs in the fifth and sixth innings as Rebecca Rossi and winning pitcher Selene Podlesney each went 2 for 4.Pittston Area 9, Berwick 3Lexi Felinski went 4 for 4 with a triple and an RBI as the Patriots won their opener at home. Taylor Baloga struck out eight for the win while adding a double and two RBI at the plate.Taryn Ashby also tripled for the Patriots. Berwick&#8217;s Sammi Starr finished 2 for 3 with a double.Wyoming Area 13, Lake-Lehman 2Gwen Glatz was 2 for 3 from the plate, with two doubles and an RBI in the Warriors&#8217; win.In the circle, Glatz went five innings, striking out five and and giving up three hits. Teammates Heather Nametko and Annie Karcutskie each had three RBI in the victory.BASEBALLHanover Area 5, MMI Prep 0The Hawkeyes opened their Division 3 title defense by blanking the Preppers. Kevin Rimmer struck out 11 in a four-hit shutout.
