DA and state Office of Attorney General dispute the cause of holdup in task force transfer

<p>KINGSTON &#8212; Bistro on the Ave has been cited for serving alcohol without a license.</p><p>According to the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Bistro on the Ave, 174 United Penn Plaza, Kingston, issued the citation on March 23 for violations in September of 2015.</p><p>According to the report, the establishment sold alcoholic beverages after the restaurant liquor license expired on August 31, 2015, and it had not been renewed and/or validated, a violation of the state Liquor Code.</p><p>The charges will be brought before an Administrative Law Judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1 ,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the ALJ can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought. The ALJ can also mandate training for the licensee in an effort to educate them on the requirements of being a licensee.</p><style>

Kingston business cited for selling alcohol without a valid license
