<p>Marcia Tomaszewski and Mark Roney were united in marriage Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, by the Reverend Joseph Verespy.</p><p>The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sally Tomaszewski, Dupont, and the late Fred Tomaszewski. The groom is the son of Kathryn Roney, Mt. Carmel, and the late Chester Roney.</p><p>The bride was escorted to the altar by her nephew and Godson, Joseph F. Coyne V, Duryea and given away in marriage by her mother. The bride chose her niece, Fredrica Coyne, Duryea, as maid of honor. Flower girl was Ariana Cabelly, Duryea, Goddaughter of the bride.</p><p>The groom chose Daniel Slotterback, Lavelle, best friend of the couple, as his best man. Ring bearer was Marcus Williams, Duryea, nephew of the bride.</p><p>Scripturial readings were given by Monica Coyne, sister of the bride and Nick Kaminski, nephew of the bride. Prayers of the Faithful were read by Clarice Coyne, niece of the bride.</p><p>Offertory gifts were presented by David Kaminski, Justin Coyne and James McKane, nephews of the bride. Greeters were Noah McKane and Nathan McKane, nephews of the bride. Organist was Mary Therese McKane, sister of the bride and soloist was Lara Notarianni. Nathan Kroptavich was violinist along with Jeff Burkett as trumpeter.</p><p>A butterfly release was held following Mass in memory of the bride&#8217;s father, the late Fred Tomaszewski.</p><p>The rehearsal dinner was held at the VFW, Post 4909, Dupont. An evening reception was held at The Appletree Terrace, Dallas, with live entertainment provided by The Gas House Gorillas, Brooklyn, New York and DJ service by Fast Freddie. The dinner prayer was offered by Dave Kaminski, brother-in-law of the bride. Clarice Coyne and Fredrica Coyne presented special remarks and the toast was extended by the best man, Daniel Slotterback.</p><p>Several surprise showers and dinners were hosted by the bride and groom&#8217;s friends, co-workers and family. They were held at Francesco&#8217;s, Shenandoah; Tony&#8217;s Wine Cellar, Jenkins Township; Amadeos, Moosic, and at the home of Monica and Joe Coyne, Duryea.</p><p>The bride is a 1992 graduate of Seton Catholic High School and a graduate of Luzerne County Community College with associate degrees in dental hygiene, dental business assisting and general studies. She is employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections as a registered dental hygienist.</p><p>The groom is a 1990 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School. After graduation, he served with the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division as a tactical satellite microwave systems operator. He was deployed to the Persian Gulf and operated in the Desert Shield/Desert Storm War in 1991. The groom is employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections as a corrections officer and also serves as the present commander of the Dupont Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4909.</p><p>The couple enjoyed a honeymoon at Mirbeau Inn &amp; Spa, Skaneateles, New York, followed by a week long motorcycle trip to North Carolina. They rode their motorcycles through Shenandoah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway and US Route 129, otherwise known as &#8220;The Dragon.&#8221; The couple resides in Dupont.</p><style>
