<p>HAZLETON &#8212; Two men are facing charges after leading police of a vehicle and foot pursuit on Saturday.</p><p>Jose-Luis Jimenez-Reyes, 19, and Esdri Contreras, 30, were each charged after they allegedly lead police on a vehicle pursuit, followed by a foot pursuit that went into a residence occupied by a woman and child.</p><p>Police were dispatched to the area of 3rd and Alter streets at 12:32 p.m. for a report of a fight in progress. Officers arrived at the scene, and during their initial investigation, police said Jimenez-Reyes and Contreras came through the area in a red Honda Accord.</p><p>When the two men noticed the police vehicle, they allegedly fled down 5th Street to North Locust Street, with an officer in pursuit. Police allege that Reyes and Contreras ignored the police and continued to travel up a one-way street at 9th Street onto Lafayette Court, and then traveled to 18th and North Locust streets where the two men allegedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot.</p><p>The two men then allegedly went into a residence using a rear entrance, and police said a woman and her child were inside began frantically screaming. An officer removed the woman and her child from the residence, and learned that Contreras allegedly ran toward a front window to escape. The officer ran out back and around the front of the residence, where Contreras was allegedly seen on the front porch.</p><p>Police said that Jimenez-Reyes ran upstairs inside the residence and was found hiding in the residence. Both Contrares and Jimenez-Reyes were arrested.</p><p>&#8220;The teamwork between the officers and agencies involved was paramount to the apprehension of these individuals,&#8221; said Hazleton police chief Jerry Speziale in a news release.</p><p>Both Jimenez-Reyes and Contreras were charges with criminal trespass, while Jimenez-Reyes was charged with eluding police and several other motor vehicle violations. As police towed the vehicle that was involved in the alleged pursuit, they also allegedly found a large machete inside the vehicle.</p><p>Jimenez-Reyes and Contreras were jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $35,000 bail</p><style>
