Oberst to receive Rotarian award

Wilkes University Passan School of Nursing to host community blood drive

<p><strong>Valerie Woods</strong> of Lancaster, a marketing and management double major student at Wilkes University, has been awarded two scholarships: the Joseph D. Giampapa Scholarship and the Thomas E. Matthews Scholarship through NACA, the National Association for Campus Activities. These scholarships are awarded to students who hold important leadership positions and through Woods&#8217; demonstrated leadership skills and ability she is being recognized for making a significant contribution on the Wilkes campus. She is not only a first generation college student, but the first in her family to graduate from high school as well. Her expected graduation is May 2017, after which she is looking into event planning, possibly graduate school and lots of traveling.</p><style>
