Coughlin baseball nearly perfect for a second time

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; A city man was arrested after police conducted a controlled drug buy Wednesday afternoon.</p><p>City police said Jeremy Daniel Ragan, 21, of 532 Lincoln St., was arrested after the Hazleton Police Narcotics Unit and Patrol Division arranged a buy/bust operation in the area of 2nd Street and Branch Court at approximately 1:45 p.m.</p><p>Police said a confidential informant at the direction of investigators placed a phone call to a male utilizing the street name of &#8220;E&#8221; and ordered up a &#8220;bundle&#8221; (10 packets) of heroin. A few minutes later, police say, Ragan showed up at 2nd Street and Branch Court to deliver the heroin.</p><p>Ragan was immediately taken into custody after the buy and was found to be in alleged possession of the recorded buy money used to purchase the heroin, police said.</p><p>Ragan was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, police said.</p><p>Police said the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected in this case.</p><p>&#8220;The Hazleton Narcotics Division is tireless in its efforts and will continue to go after the demand and supply of illegal drugs that plagues our streets,&#8221; Chief of Police Jerry Speziale said in a prepared statement.</p><p>&#8220;Sell drugs In Hazleton and you will be pursued vigorously and face justice swiftly and decisively,&#8221; he said.</p><style>
